PKRC Fourth Federal Congress (Pakistan): Building Healthy Democratic Traditions
After 22 years as general secretary of Pakistan Kissan Rabita Committee, (a network of 36 peasant organisation in Pakistan), I stepped down and pave the way for a women activist to be elected as general secretary of PKRC.
The normal tradition in South Asian Left movement is that, once you are elected as one of main leader of an organisation, that is life long post.

USA and Greenland Since 1951...
Since 1951, the USA has had an agreement granting it the right to maintain virtually unlimited military bases on Greenland. During the Cold War, they had 27 bases and other military installations with a total of 10,000 soldiers. Today, they have only one base with approximately 200 soldiers.
