THE SENTENCING of Hong Kong political activist Joshua Wong to an additional ten years in prison, on top of the time that he was already serving, should be a stark warning to Taiwan of the future that it faces if it acquiesces to Chinese political control. Still, one notes that many in Taiwan have forgotten the lessons of Hong Kong.
